Joan Rapaport is a native of New York City. She earned her B.F.A. and M.S. degrees in art and design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and worked as a fashion illustrator before joining the faculty of The Fashion Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute and The New York Institute of Technology, respectively. Following her teaching career of some ten years, Joan formed a partnership with her husband, Ben Rapaport, A.S.I.D. Under the banner of Dovetail Design Studio they served clients' needs for both interior and graphic design services.
After her husband passed on, Joan moved to Boston and worked as a staff artist for The Christian Science Monitor, designing feature pages, logos, spot illustrations, maps and informational graphics. After she retired from that post, Joan taught computer graphics to elementary school children and is currently engaged in children's book illustration. She presently owns two long-haired black cats and has owned Scottish Terriors at various times since childhood.
When the opportunity was presented to take the reins of Loving Care Pet Solutions, Joan felt she would put her lifelong love for animals to work in a practical way, and can assure clients of careful attention to detail and affectionate response to their pets. |
Sara Nicole Streeter was born in San Diego but grew up for the most part in
Rehoboth, MA. She has fond memories of riding on a pony at a very early age.
Her mother is a riding instructor, and her favorite horse was a black
Arabian named Husan, "very graceful and deer-like in his body." Sara
continues . . .
"I was proud of the fact that we had fourteen animals altogether, since we
lived on a farm with horses and chickens, along with the dog and cats and
birds. The dog was very motherly to me, named Cricket, a Doberman Pinscher
and German Shepherd cross. The first pet I call ed my very own was a cat
named Butterscotch. He used to follow me on walks in the woods, being so
attached to me. I have had a lot of experience with a wide variety of
animals, and to this day I enjoy their company. I enjoy feeding and petting
them, and I look forward to meeting all the new animals who will share their
company with me."
Sara holds a B.A. in classical languages from the College of Wooster in
Ohio. She hopes to develop her career possibilities, but will serve Loving
Care Pet Solutions as a sub-contractor on evenings and weekends.
